Hokkaido is covered with snow for a third of the year and has four distinct seasons, and ranks first in the production of rice. Syokuren Hokkaido Co. Ltd. was established as a wholesaler in 1956 in Hokkaido. The main office is located in KutchanTown, which is famous for the Niseko-Hirafu area, a world famous resort. Our Sapporo branch is in the City of Otaru, a city next to Sapporo, the northernmost city designated by government ordinance.
In recent years, Syokuren Hokkaido Co. Ltd. has proactively exported rice to foreign countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Viet Nam and China, and is aiming to expand marketing further.
Nanatsuboshi is the most popular rice in Hokkaido. It has an elastic, soft texture with a perfect shape, plump and oval. The more it is chewed, sweeter and tastier it becomes. Freshly cooked Nanatsuboshi is of course delicious, but it’s even more sweet and sticky when cold.
Yumepirika, a leading brand in producing Hokkaido rice, is very popular and could be considered the culmination of Hokkaido rice production. The name is a combination of “dream” (yume) and “beautiful” (pirika). The rice features a delicate stickiness, sweetness and moderate softness.
This package of Nanatsuboshi will be exported to Vietnam. There are two package sizes, a 2 kg package and a 600 g package.
This package of Nanatsuboshi will be exported to China. The products are shipped after polishing and fumigating at a designated factory exclusive to those processes.
